Where does the name Soplet come from?
Soplet comes from Semantic Oriented Programming, or SOP for short. But as SOP is already overloaded with many other meaning
s (Subject Oriented Programming, Standard Operations Procedure, Sons of the Patriots and so on) it was decided to create a new term, which would make it easy to distinguish and identify.
What do you mean by Semantic Oriented Programming anyway?
The principle of SOP is to put the knowleadge about a system at the center of the development and coding process. This knowleadge is represented by semantic structures (subject/predicate/object triplets), which can be referenced and interpreted by the implementing application code. In case of Soplets, these semantic structures are manifested by plain Java code constructs (enumeration/annotations), but there are also other variants, which use other mediums (XML, database etc.)

What are these coffee stains in the banner?
They come from a capuccino I made with my time-honored Pavoni espresso
machine. The coffee blend is called Mäder Italy (80% arabica, 20%
robusta), which I can very much recommend. I don't know if another blend
would have created the same colors or patterns, but the taste is just
without comparision!... ;)
I have a question - whom can I ask?
Please post your question at the Soplet discussion forum
